Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Monitor customer alcohol consumption and prevent over-intoxication
- Handle cash transactions and operate cash register
- Upsell drink specials and promote new menu items
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food orders for customers
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of Toast POS system or similar point-of-sale software
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with diverse clientele
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Familiarity with catering and event bartending is a plus
- Basic understanding of retail math for calculating drink prices and making change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
