Position Overview:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the print shop, ensuring smooth production and timely delivery of materials
• Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes to optimize productivity
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand client requirements and ensure accurate execution of print jobs
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials
• Implement health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
• Operate and maintain a variety of printing equipment, including digital printers, large format printers, and laminators
• Conduct regular equipment checks and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs as needed to keep production running smoothly
• Assist in the installation and setup of new printing equipment and software
• Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize and schedule printing jobs based on deadlines and client requirements
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and production staff as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience (3 years) in operations management, preferably in a print shop or similar manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in industry-specific software and equipment, such as printing machines and design software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Understanding of Florida Printing Code: https://floridadep.gov/air/permitting-compliance/content/printing-operations
• Proven experience 3 Years working with printing equipment, including digital printers, large format printers, and laminators
• Proficiency in operating industry-specific software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software, and color management tools
