NFT is Hiring a Quality Lead Near Carlsbad, NM

Position Summary:

Perform and direct complex visual and dimensional measurements and evaluation of quality status based on acceptance criteria.

Perform and supervise a variety of complex nondestructive examinations in accordance with procedures and evaluate results.

Take the lead and responsibility for all Carlsbad site Quality issues and assess compliance with applicable requirements. Resolve internal and external quality issues or questions.

Perform internal surveillance of working procedures.

Prepare quality documentation for Clients.

Perform site-Specific Quality duties as directed by NFT QA and QC Manager.

Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

· Guides and directs lower-level personnel on the set-up and performance of tests.

· Perform complex setups to dimensionally inspect variety of parts and components.

· Perform and direct visual and NDE examination of processes, materials, parts, and equipment in accordance with established procedures.

· Assist, as needed, with calibration and tracking measuring and test equipment (M&TE) and prepare written instructions. Communicate with Calibration Vendors as needed.

· Monitor ongoing manufacturing and fabrication activities to verify conformance to travelers, procedures, and drawings.

· Prepare and evaluate test and inspection reports and data.

· Recommends and verifies corrective actions.

· Controls received, stored, and tested components and materials. Includes control of receipt and storage of materials; identification and traceability of materials; implementation of controlled work activities.

· Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations.

· Receipt Inspection to verify Purchase Order Compliance.

· Daily Customer Interface

Essential Job Requirements:

·  Must be certified to perform dimensional inspections.

·  Level II certification for the following NDE: VT, PT, MT, MSLT, BLT and UTT (at a minimum)

·  Conduct and participate in internal surveillances to approved audit checklist and procedures.

·  Identify and report quality issues and trends.

·  Communicate effectively (verbally and written) 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

· High school graduate or GED and 6 years’ applicable experience or Associates degree or 2 years of formal technical training, or Bachelor’s degree.
