Position: Tooling Manager
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, specific hours to be mutually agreed upon per production requirements.
Reports to: Operations Manager
As the Tooling & Engineering Manager, you will be joining a dynamic team at a growing manufacturing company as one of the most critical managerial roles at the business. This is a hands-on, shop floor position that is responsible for all items related to die casting tooling. Additional duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Oversee and direct Tool Room personnel.
· Manage all outside tooling vendors.
· Maintain required Tool Room supplies.
· Assist Plant Engineer with last shot audits and tooling repairs.
· Manage all Tooling Repair Orders.
· Assist with development of new tooling designs.
A successful candidate should have five to ten years of tool room experience, including some managerial. Journey man card a plus but not required. Knowledge of CAD software is required (SolidWorks, etc.). Must work cooperatively with other team members. A positive attitude and regular and punctual attendance is required. Safety is our #1 priority.
