Overview:
Our client is a comprehensive life science organization engaged in the development, production, marketing, and distribution of a wide array of innovative diagnostic and life science products. The Account Executive role is pivotal in driving sales by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company offerings. This professional is tasked with both acquiring new clients and expanding business with existing clients, effectively managing customer interactions and resolving issues. Key performance indicators include meeting or exceeding established sales growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Sales Growth Achievement: Efficiently organize and manage a designated territory to maximize sales revenue and profitability.
  • Maintain and expand business in existing accounts while also identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategies incorporating Group Purchasing, IDN, National Clinical Reference Lab, and Local Health Delivery Network strategies into daily sales activities.
  • Achieve sales objectives across all Focus Product categories.
  • Meet weekly sales call targets to optimize sales productivity and uncover new opportunities.
  • Effectively use the client relationship manager (CRM) system for forecasting and tracking new business prospects.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance customer experience and foster sales growth.
  • Educate medical staff on product benefits, providing demonstrations and support.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Distribution partners in the territory.
Sales Administration:
  • Regularly update the CRM system with detailed information on business activities, account profiles, opportunities, and key decision-makers.
  • Maintain a company vehicle in excellent condition.
  • Organize and manage sales samples and literature, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Keep the product manual updated and in excellent condition.
  • Ensure all company equipment is maintained in the same condition as at receipt. Report any technical issues immediately.
  • Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to Sales Management.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Plan territory coverage and submit itineraries to sales management in a timely manner.
  • Travel throughout the territory, which may include overnight stays.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, or Science.
  • Minimum of two years of sales experience in a complex selling environment (laboratory diagnostics preferred).
  • Proven track record of consistent sales growth.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong outgoing, professional, consultative, and persuasive selling skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Confident, persistent, patient, and self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in computer applications like Word, Excel, and CRM.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to prioritize and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and efficient in time management.
