SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Our client currently has an opening for a Medical Device Account Executive role within their Spinal division. We are seeking candidates with a background in medical device sales, particularly within the Spinal or Interventional Pain sectors.
Candidates should ideally possess experience with VCF and Spinal Ablation therapies and procedures, especially in areas such as Neuro Spine, Interventional Spine/Radiology, and Interventional Pain. Experience with engaging various hospital and OBL departments across multiple call points is important.
This role will encompass the Houston, TX area, including nearby suburbs. It is preferred for candidates to reside within the assigned territory boundaries.
SUMMARY DETAILS
The role involves promoting and selling medical products to both new and established accounts, ensuring the fulfillment of customer requirements. Responsibilities include conducting in-service presentations to clinical staff, detailing new product use, and fostering lasting client relationships to understand and meet customer needs. Collaboration with marketing and sales teams is essential to ensure timely product delivery, staying current with product advancements, and gathering customer feedback to drive innovation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
1. Fosters and sustains strong relationships with clients and accounts by:
- Regularly engaging with clients and accounts to showcase products and explain their advantages.
- Identifying potential customers and acquainting them with available products.
- Keeping in touch with clients to gauge product satisfaction levels.
- Identifying and acting upon opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Customizing product drawings for clients requiring bespoke kits or manifolds.
- Negotiating and finalizing pricing contracts for products.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to boost sales and profitability.
- Addressing any client concerns related to manufacturing or delivery promptly.
2. Works closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure appropriate product delivery, remain informed about new offerings, and relay customer feedback for potential product enhancements.
3. Makes informed decisions within set authorization limits to optimize sales and profitability.
4. Compiles monthly sales reports detailing performance metrics, client engagements, product feedback, and potential procedural enhancements.
5. Engages in sales training and planning meetings to stay abreast of new products and promotions, and to contribute to sales strategy discussions.
6. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of company products and their market competition.
7. Sets and meets individual sales targets and performance objectives.
8. Contributes to the sales team's efforts to increase market share by suggesting quality and customer satisfaction improvements.
9. Travels as necessary to engage with clients and fulfill sales responsibilities.
10. Carries out additional sales-related tasks as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educational/professional background.
- At least three years of direct sales experience, medical product sales preferred.
- Effective communication skills to build sales relationships.
- High self-motivation and goal orientation.
- Strong oral presentation capabilities and quick problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of medical equipment and able to suggest usage improvements.
- Team player with a focus on achieving organizational goals.
- Skilled in business mathematics for financial and sales data management.
- High level of personal organization and ability to document work efficiently.
- Independent worker requiring minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work additional hours as needed.
