Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Immunopathology – Days

We are seeking a Lab Technologist to join our high-complexity Immunopathology Laboratory, which includes Flow Cytometry, Bone Marrow Morphology and Immunohistochemistry sections. This position is focused on completing all aspects of leukemia-lymphoma morphology review including Wright Giemsa, Iron, MPO and NSE staining. Under the direction of the Lab Manager and Laboratory leadership team, you will assist with triaging, documenting and processing clinical patient specimens such as bone marrow aspirate smears and peripheral bloods smears and conduct morphological identification and enumerate hematopoietic cells. You will also have the opportunity to assist with writing and maintaining procedures, completing proficiency testing, and monitoring supply inventory. In addition, you will be a part of the development, optimization, and validation of new tests. 

This position is from 10am-6pm Monday through Friday.

Competitive experiential sign-on bonus commensurate with experience:

Preferred Criteria

• Peripheral blood and/or bone marrow staining experience
• Experience in morphological review of peripheral blood and/or bone marrow smears

Required Criteria

• A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related health science field
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
• 2 years of Technologist-level experience
