Description

General Summary:

The primary responsibilities for this position are to market bank products and services to prospective and existing Clients in order to maintain and expand the deposit base within the market, generating liquidity and income. 

Accountabilities:

· Possess consultative sales skills, including the ability to engage prospective Clients to solve financial problems and challenges.

· Working knowledge or a willingness to learn all facets of Treasury Management services, the bank’s operational processes, and quantify the cost/benefit of the services.

· Understanding of basic business concepts, accounting, billing, payables and collection processes of businesses.

· Ability to identify and refer quality opportunities for Deposit Relationships, Loans, Merchant Card Services, Credit Cards, and third-party Investment Products.

· Understanding or a willingness to learn the business model including target customer groups, goals for revenue, and related costs of services offered.

· Understanding of client profitability and key drivers in relationships.

· Ability to produce and present quality proposals for prospective Clients.

· Time management skills and discipline to keep focus on high priority prospects.

· Ability to close new and / or additional business and facilitate the opening, maintaining, and monitoring of accounts on the bank’s systems.

· Routinely follow-up with existing Clients and facilitate resolution of any issues or concerns as well seek to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

Minimum Level of Preparation and Training:

  • A level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree, graduate degree, with additional formal training pertaining to the banking profession.
  • Sales experience. 
  • In depth knowledge of bank services and products.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Broad knowledge of all departmental operations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with personnel of all departments and branches.
  • Literate in all major and internal computer software programs.
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to make quick decisions.

  • Service Excellence - Sets standards for quality improvements; Instills employee confidence to initiate quality efforts Places priority on efforts to improve quality; Sets standards for quality methods, procedures and Actions; Maintains customer focus regarding service.
