Head of Product- Houston, TX
We are looking for a Head of Product to join an organization focused on reinventing industrial asset management, both above and under water – for step-change improvements in asset life, maintenance cost and reduction of failure risk. Think oil rigs, dam walls, ship hulls – any asset subject to deterioration in water and weather. This applications of this technology span across multiple verticals/industries including O&G, Agriculture, Space, and Critical Infrastructure to name a few.
With operations across 4 continents, team of 100 (and rapidly growing), we are looking for a Head of Product to be a critical and strategic contributor in shaping and directing the next chapter of growth and innovation as the organization scales!
Overview
Overall – Take lead responsibility to ensure our product in market best balances what will delight our target customers, especially relative to their alternatives (our competitors), with what is technically & operationally feasible given development cost/time/complexity, and will be commercially attractive
Own the Product Strategy – balancing customer needs and value, technology & delivery capability, commercial considerations, competitor/alternative offerings – and with a deep understanding of the vision of the Founders
Build and maintain the overall Product Roadmap across all company offerings – planning, requirements (functionality, features, integrations), ongoing prioritisation, release schedules, MVPs and continuous improvement – including making ongoing trade-offs between standardised/scalable and bespoke
Market & Customer Alignment- Ensure a deep understanding of customer needs, value, processes, pain points, areas of resistance and excitement – throughout the product lifecycle – development, validation, release, refinement
Be the ‘hub of the wheel’ linking, coordinating and collaborating with all key stakeholders – voice of customer, sales & marketing, product & tech development, operations, commercial – and ensure buy-in from all groups in key product decisions
Agile- Ensure strong agile & design sprint development approach, testing and feedback loops
Ensure visibility of progress against roadmap (good, bad, indifferent), with OKRs, and actively manage trade-offs between customer impacts, tech feasibility/risk, budgets, timeframes, sales and competitive imperatives – with key stakeholder groups
