Junior Planner
Asa Junior Planner you will be in control of checking in deliveries up to thefinal close of the trip, and co-ordinate all activities associated withreceiving and dispatching goods in line with customer requirements, standardsand service levels. You will be working a few days as a planner and a few daysas a transportation specialist. This individual will consistently contribute toNewCold's key performance areas, customer satisfaction, productivity, accuracy,while maintaining a positive work environment. To create and develop aprofessional culture on site, in line with our values and ensure that apositive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on site.
What you will be doing:
Orders are received anddispatched in line with customer and company guidelines and procedures
Inbound and outbound orders arereceived and dispatched in a timely manner in line with customer andcompany targets and KPIs of service and quality
Work with warehouse team whenneeded to help maintain an efficient smooth workflow
Using the systems in the agreedway, while managing quality issues on behalf of the customer. Thesequality issues relate to service and stock.
Working with customers andcarriers to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved
Working with Shift Leader andOperator to ensure optimum work flows and efficiencies take place in allwarehouse activities
Work with carrierrepresentatives and warehouse team to ensure prompt and accurate loadingand unloading
Work to ensure picking, loadingand unloading activities are completed in a timely manner
Use the systems in the mostefficient way to create a smooth flow of product in and out of the highbay
Act in line with agreedprocedures for ensuring quality of product is maintained at all times inline with customer requirements (temperature, damages etc)
Assisting the operation asrequired by the site, including:
Assist colleagues in carryingout tasks as required
Helping maintain a clean andtidy work environment
Continually look toopportunities for improvements
Check in and out all Haulersusing MLS.
Assist with Starting andClosing of Outbound shipments
Assist in filing all loadpaperwork in filing cabinets.
Set up all customer pickups anddeliveries in the MLS system.
File paperwork in appropriateareas, cycle full file boxes into storage.
Distribute documentation toappropriate party.
Ensure the accuracy of alldocuments.
What you bring to the table:
Educational Requirements
High School Degree
Experience Requirements
3 years of Microsoft Office Suite Programs (word, excel, outlook)
Must be at a minimum of intermediate level on computer proficiency
Experience with 10 key calculator, telephones, photocopiers, etc
Schedule
Thisposition will be filling a Graveyard or Swing schedule
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs
Must be able to sit for 8 hours time
