Newark Manor Nursing Home is seeking a laundry aide to help wash and clean clothes, linens, and other items for our residents. We are a smaller home providing a home like environment for our residents. Looking for staff to treat our residents like family. Communication is key

Duties:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linens and guest laundry
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
- Inspect linens for stains or damage and report any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals
- Assist with inventory management of linens and supplies

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hotel or commercial laundry setting is preferred
- Knowledge of laundering techniques and proper handling of different fabrics
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Skills:
- Hotel experience: Experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Laundering: Knowledge of laundering techniques, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding.
- Cleaning: Ability to clean linens thoroughly and remove stains effectively.
- Dry cleaning: Familiarity with dry cleaning processes and equipment.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
