Newark Manor Nursing Home , located in Newark, NY has a great opportunity for a Part Time Maintenance Worker.

Maintenance Worker-Part Time - 20 hours

Perform day-to-day activities of the maintenance department for a nursing home facility in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience in floor maintenance preferred
• General Maintenance skills required - plumbing, painting, etc.
• Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Must speak and understand English
• Positive attitude toward elderly and co-workers
• OSHA 10 safety preferred, but not required
• Ability to perform essential job functions (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Maintenance Duties:

• Maintain a functional, safe, and comfortable environment for the residents, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain the interior and exterior of the building shall and be kept free of hazards.
• Perform basic repair of mechanical equipment such as beds equipment, tools and other necessary items.
• Perform basic electrical repair/replacement such as maintenance of light fixtures, bed motors and other electrical facility items.
• Facility must be maintained in a safe operating condition at all times.
• Clean, maintain, and properly store all equipment and supplies.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
