The Dental Office Coordinator helps the patient with completing required forms, scheduling their appointments, general questions and gathers patient information for dentists when needed. Also, the candidate will assist patients in determining insurance coverage and assist patients with payment options. Well versed with current insurance practices, requirements, and forms; verifying proper reimbursement is received for services provided; and documenting and coding information.

Primary duties include: Greeting/checking in patients, scheduling initial appointments, scheduling follow up appointments, reviewing patient accounts, collecting copays, collecting payment for scheduled and/or completed treatment, answering general/basic insurance questions; having basic and advanced dental terminology and being comfortable presenting dental information to patients; and reviewing past due bills and following up on past due accounts.

Qualifications:

Qualified employees will have:

• At least one year dental office experience
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Working understanding of dental terminology to explain benefits
• Payment posting experience
• Experience in working with insurance companies to get claims paid
• Knowledge with Dentrix Ascend practice management system very favorable
• Knowledge of Care Credit
• Other duties assigned as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
