Exclusive Private Club in Newport has positions available on our Facilities Support team for the upcoming season, ASAP. We are looking for someone who is multitalented with some experience in general building and grounds maintenance and some background in hospitality is a plus. The ideal person needs to have a positive attitude and be willing to help coworkers and members. We are looking for someone with a desire to work in a dynamic, busy, outdoor, high-end hospitality and hotel environment. Some knowledge in any skilled trade IE: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc., is helpful. The job involves frequent bending and lifting, often more than 50lbs, repetitive motions that would be expected in using the equipment of maintaining the club.

Weekdays, weekends, holidays and some late nights are part of the normal work week in our busy season. Compensation is competitive and dependent on individual skill and experience. We are looking for people with a great attitude, who enjoy the outdoors, hard work and a working with a great team.

Requirements:

· Any combination of Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Landscape skills.

· Problem solving abilities.

· The ideal candidate should be a versatile individual being able to complete a variety of maintenance tasks.

· Able to perform manual labor tasks for landscaping, lifting/ moving furniture.

· Background of use of power tools.

· Work well individually as well as in a team setting.

· Provide quality guest service to members and their guests.

· Schedule will vary, must be available for nights, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime.

. Computer and AV knowledge helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
