Job title: Database Architect (Microsoft SQL & Oracle)

Location: Jersey city NJ/ New York, NY

Position: Long term contract

Note: Candidate who can work on w2 only

Required Skills:

  • Significant experience in Microsoft SQL & Oracle database programming and development is a must.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Data Storage systems like Hadoop(Product or As Service) and formats like Apache Parquet
  • Must have hands-on experience with Data Processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Beam, Flink, Airflow,etc
  • Must have hands-on experience with Data Visualization frameworks like Apache Superset, Druid, Jupyter Notebook, etc
  • Must have hands-on experience with Data Ingestion frameworks like Apache Kafka, Apache Nifi, etc.
  • Significant development & integration experience in Microsoft database modules like SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, CUBE (Star Schema)
  • Proven experience as a Database Architect, with a focus on modernization projects.
  • Proficient in performing high-paced proof of concepts/ proof of value is exploring different migration techniques from standard database tech to advance software's.
  • Ability to work / collaborate with shared teams to build working models and disseminate to wider group of developers for adoption.
  • In-depth knowledge of database technologies such as [SQL, Oracle], big data technology stack, Scala, Pig, MongoDB, and Snowflake.
  • Assess and analyze existing database architecture to identify opportunities for modernization.
  • Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Significant experience in data normalization, denormalization, compression techniques to optimize data-size and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align database solutions accordingly.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and performance in the modernized database environment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of database changes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in both traditional databases and big data.
