New York City Health + Hospitals/Kings County Hospital Center is Hiring a Staff Nurse - Ambulatory Care Services Near Brooklyn, NY

Tour II: 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Tour II: 9:00AM - 5:30PM

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates competency in age-specific assessment of adult, and the elderly.
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in providing age-appropriate sensitive care.
  • Re-assesses patients’ needs and/or response to treatment and promptly confer with physician/provider.
  • Provides patient/family education using appropriate age specific techniques and devices as appropriate.
  • Utilizes available technology and equipment including biophysical parameter monitoring systems in providing patient care.
  • Communicates significant findings using appropriate handoff technique.
  • Serves as champion for transition of care/Medical Home model of care.
  • Collaborates with patient’s family/guardians in providing age-appropriate care.
  • Complies with Child/elder Abuse/Neglect screening, identification, and reporting.
  • Participates in Unit Performance Improvement activities.
  • Conforms to regulatory agency standards that guide care in Hemodialysis.
  • Demonstrates commitment to continued professional development, including Specialty Board Certification.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State; and
  • Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Pay: From $100,750.00 per year
