The living room for the neighborhood, South Congress Hotel is an 83-room boutique hotel designed to be a hub of activity for the community. A place for travelers and locals alike, the hotel has three restaurants, a coffee bakeshop, rooftop pool, award-winning Lobby Bar, and two retail spaces, in addition to a range of community events programming open to all. All locally owned, all right at the doorstep of Austin's favorite street.
JOB OVERVIEW
South Congress Hotel is located a mile from the Austin Convention Center and walking distance from some of the city’s most iconic venues. The event space at South Congress Hotel features a versatile indoor and outdoor space, courtyards, gardens, and pre-function room that can accommodate private events for up to 450 guests.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that banquet and event spaces are properly set up and maintained according to the client's requirements and the hotel's standards. The role involves various physical tasks and attention to detail to create a welcoming and organized environment for guests and events. Banquet house persons play a critical role in creating a positive guest experience during events and functions. This role works behind the scenes to ensure that everything is prepared and organized to make events successful and memorable.
