 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Expected to work cooperatively as a team player, participating in regular meetings with sales agronomist, sales manager and the rest of the agronomy team to help educate, listen and share ideas to better serve our customers.
  • Collect agronomic data to generate sustainability plans, profitability insights and support scenario development for improvements and revenue opportunities, using New Vision Coop’s preferred sustainability platform.
  • With partners, develop and implement workshops and field days designed to educate growers, farm-related and grower-led organizations on best practices, and other innovative systems that benefit natural resource quality and farm productivity.
  • Owning strategy and approach to managing the enrollment grower journey and developing new processes, leveraging technology and analytics, to improve workflows for New Vision team members accountable for execution.
  • Serving as a liaison when needed between the field and other support teams to address concerns on data integrity and tracking.
  • Tracking and reporting on grower contract progress and executing contracts tied to program enrollment to key members of the business and the field.
  • Supporting other business units at New Vision with status reporting and data to support goal setting and measurement towards achievement of those goals
  • Envisioning and proposing new ways to simplify processes to meet a scaling and growing business and the associated operational needs tied to farmer engagement.
  • Develops the strategic direction in the development, execution, and delivery of Precision Technology
  • Developing new data tracking metrics including acres of engagement, survey’s taken, program targets and progress towards milestones
  • Owning the development and management of new processes to streamline data movement and integrations associated with program enrollment and tracking to provide operational efficiencies.
  • Providing regular updates to business team members and key stakeholders on farmer status
  • Self-motivated, able to learn quickly, follow instructions, handle multiple projects, feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and be willing to work with new and innovative projects and programs, in a group as well as complete work independently.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must possess meticulous record-keeping skills. Must be comfortable working with individuals of varied ages and social backgrounds.
  • Maintain records, accurate data management to ensure accurate reporting and that all deadlines are met.
  • Specific duties of this position are expected to change as the needs of the area change.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  •  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  •  Capacity to develop and interpret soils maps & aerial photography
  •  Ability to write correspondence and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
  •  Ability to effectively present information to local units of government, management, public and private groups, and organizations. 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, areas, circumference, and volume. 
  • Must have experience using a personal computer. (Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, excel, Arc GIS, GPS). 
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
