New Oakland Family Centers is Hiring a Testing Psychologist Near Southfield, MI

New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services
for consumers across various counties in Michigan, in both, outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.

Location: Southfield (primary); daily travel to other NOFC locations for testing, as assigned by Clinical Director; other locations if needed with prior arrangement for training and/or cross coverage.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or another full-time equivalent.
Reports To: President / Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor
Compensation: Salaried Employee; $45,000 - $50,000/ year; Sign on bonuses available for qualified candidates.
Position Summary: The Testing Psychologist role is a full-time position comprised of multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities related to the FACE to FACE Partial Hospitalization Program. This position will require working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest quality of care to consumers in an acute setting.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Communicates daily with the executive medical director, clinical and administrative staff regarding clinical and administrative issues/activities and testing needs.
  • Perform psychological batteries on a prescriptive basis using testing materials approved by the facility (WISC, WAIS, WIAT, WRAT, TAT, etc.).
  • Complete documentation as required by the clinic’s policies/procedures.
  • Communicate results of testing to all relevant parties including clinical staff and consumers.
  • Intake/evaluation/individual/group/family therapy clinical coverage when necessary.
  • Ability to resolve all crisis situations appropriately.
  • Maintain trainings per clinic’s policies/procedures and per licensure requirements.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Master Degree and licensure in psychology required (TLLP, LLP or LP). Must be able to work well with all types of people and all populations including children, adolescents, and adults.
Working Conditions: Staff is to dress professionally at all times per Employee Handbook. Staff will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers.
