Looking for Dynamic Instructional Assistants For the remainder of the school year (through June 14th.) Schedule flexible. Full-time or part-time. Responsibilities:To assist teachers in providing students with a nurturing, supportive and collaborative environment where curriculum and instruction are aligned to standards and the needs of each child. Practice ethical and professional standards and maintain strict standards of student and family confidentiality. Become familiar with student IEP including, but not limited to, social/emotional, activities of daily living, and/or behavioral needs. Assist with specific student supports, either as individual or small groups, in the implementation of educational and/or IEP goals and benchmarks. Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse learning styles. Reinforce the principles of positive social interaction by modeling positive behavior. Responsibilities will vary according to the students and program /classroom where the instructional assistant is assigned. Qualifications:•Strong work ethic.•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and their families. •Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and empowering students with learning disabilities•Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the students and the school. ** Paid training in de-escalation and ABA strategies, as well as district policies/procedures and best instructional practices, will be provided (and required) for all applicants who are hired through this posting. Training will take place April 16-18, 2024.
