Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient service and administrative support in a medical office setting. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Check patients in and out, verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain patient records and update medical information as necessary
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on test results
- Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and welcoming
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Experience working in an urgent care, medical records, or emergency room setting is beneficial
