At the direction of the Director, supports the development of clinical skills in the staff, whether a novice or expert in their field. Maintains clinical skills that facilitate ongoing education and just-in-time training for clinical and technical staff. Collaborates with the Director to assure that organizational priorities are incorporated into educational planning.

• Collaborates effectively with the surgical services’ leadership team to identify educational Plans and coordinates programs (in collaboration with the clinical experts) that will meet the identified needs.
• Provides an appropriate climate for learning that facilitates the development of clinical competence in the clinical and technical
• Develops and maintains, in collaboration with supervisors, an orientation program for newly hired clinical, technical and admin support staff for surgical services
• Develops and maintains, in collaboration with supervisors, a competency program for clinical, technical and admin support staff for surgical services
• Tracks ongoing competency compliance and reports exceptions to surgical services’ leaders quarterly
