Customer Service Excellence

General Summary

Performs inventory control and administrative duties as assigned by the Financial Comptroller and, at times, by the CEO.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain the automated inventory system through creating purchase orders, receiving, issuing and retiring inventory as needed.
• Work with wireline and wireless managers on their specific departments inventory needs.
• Maintain and perform periodic counts of inventory.
• Receive and organize inventory.
• Unload tractor trailers using forklift.
• Maintain communication with delivery drivers and outside subcontractors.
• Follow-up on backorders and items not received timely.
• Returning and following up on defective products.
• Assist programming and upgrading equipment as necessary
•  Support technicians and office staff as necessary
• Other duties as assigned by management

General Maintenance:

• Maintaining grounds around New Lisbon facilities including but not limited to mowing, weed removal, painting, and landscaping
• Maintaining weed control around copper pedestals
• Perform minimal repairs around facilities
• Perform light janitorial duties
• Perform maintenance on small equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of the telecommunications industry.
• General knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Proficient in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, various software programs and telephone systems.
• Ability to operate a fork lift or other related equipment.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand.

Requirements

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; 

Three to five years of previous experience in telecommunications inventory control or a related field preferred. 

Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.
