Job Title: Volunteer Engagement Specialist

Location: Walpole, MA (Hybrid position)
Part-Time: 20 hours per week

New Life Furniture Bank of MA (New Life) is a dedicated nonprofit organization providing essential furniture and household items to individuals and families transitioning from homelessness, escaping domestic violence, and recovering from disasters. As a volunteer-driven organization, we rely heavily on community involvement to achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management: Oversee the operation and success of New Life’s AmeriCorps VISTA Program.
• Volunteer Recruitment: Actively recruit and engage volunteers for the AmeriCorps VISTA Program and broader New Life programming.
• Support and Development: Provide ongoing support to AmeriCorps host sites and service members, ensuring a positive and productive experience.
• Event Coordination: Organize appreciation events and team-building activities to foster a sense of community and gratitude among volunteers.
• Training and Supervision: Ensure that all volunteers receive comprehensive training and are well-supported in their roles.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in volunteer management and support.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with donors, prospects, staff, and volunteers.
• Demonstrated passion for our mission and a commitment to impacting the community positively.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend commitments.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
