Job Title: Family Ministry Assistant Content Coordinator

Department: New Life East

Reports to: Children’s Ministry Director

Status: Part-Time | Hourly

Schedule: Sunday, Tues, Wed | 15 hours

New Life Church's mission is to make disciples in the Pikes Peak region, by calling people to worship, connect and serve.

Job Summary

To serve New Life Church by co-labor with volunteers and the Kids Ministry Team to provide a fun, safe, and edifying environment at New Life East Kids and Students with specific influence to how content and classrooms are managed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Weekly:

  • Support the vision of Family Ministries at NLE by assisting with the writing and gathering of ministry content
  • Gather and assemble supplies for each classroom’s curriculum bin (Sunday, Children’s Ministry)
  • Foster a sense of belonging/connection with current volunteers via coffee/lunch dates
  • Uphold New Life Kids values, standards and language

Sunday Operations:

  • Assist in set-up and tear-down
  • Hall monitor oversight for at least one service
  • Ensure all volunteers have arrived for their designated shift
  • Makes adjustments if holes arise
  • Connect with volunteers and their needs on Sunday mornings (lesson, worship, bathroom breaks, etc.)
  • Supports greater needs of the ministry when necessary

Other:

  • Provide weekly support for NLE Rooted discipleship experience (2x’s/year; 10 weeks)
  • Attend all required team meetings
  • Demonstrate ongoing financial support of the ministry and mission of New Life Church
  • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries of New Life Church.
  • Cooperate with NLE Staff by performing any other duties when asked to do so
  • Be on time for designated shift
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
  • Maintain confidentiality when discussing behavioral/specialized needs issues
  • Manage and respond to calls and emails as needed.
  • Assist the department in coordinating various tasks and procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
  • Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
  • Attend department meetings, regular all-staff meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Utilize a thorough understanding of New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate ongoing financial support for ministries of New Life Church.
  • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
  • Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.

Education and Experience

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Experience: 1-2 years of related experience

Working Conditions and Requirements of Office Environment

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Close visual acuity is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
