POSITION OBJECTIVE
Works under the general supervision of a Foreman or Supervisor. Performs all assigned duties such as installing rigging protection (safety, personnel, traffic) devices, inspects, repairs, cleans and paints all buildings (interior and exterior) signs, equipment, furniture, structures, bridges, mixing paints and matching colors, spackling and sanding.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identifies, handles, understands, and uses materials and supplies for the efficient completion of assigned trade tasks. May include moving and storage of office equipment and furniture.
2. Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition, and in a safe, secure, and sanitary workplace.
3. Prepares routine and special reports or records, surveys, estimates and schedules.
4. Operates various hand and power tools, blasting, spraying, special equipment, trucks and autos with care and safety.
5. Performs all related work as required within this classification and as a Maintenance Person in emergency situations.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR RELATIONSHIPS:
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all employees of the Authority. Represent the Authority in a positive, professional, and confidential manner in all dealings with external agencies, contractors, and all other individuals. Maintain professional demeanor even in high stress emergency and weather situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Formal education or training equivalent to the completion of high school, GED, or the graduation from a vocational or trade school, or the satisfactory completion of the Turnpike Apprentice Program.
2. Required ability to understand written and oral instructions.
3. Proven attendance record.
4. Four (4) years’ experience in painting field using rigging, cleaning, spraying and blasting equipment, brushes, rollers and the successful completion of required testing.
5. Must be able to climb ladders and the ability to identify red, green and amber colors. Must be able to wear respiratory protective equipment as determined by the examining physician.
6. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
