New Jersey Institute for Disabilities is Hiring a Group Home Manager Near Manchester, NJ

The New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation providing services to infants, children and adults with developmental and related disabilities. NJID offers specialized facilities, programs and supports throughout New Jersey. Come join our dedicated staff of more than 500 and make a difference in someone's life!
We are currently hiring a group home Manager in Barnegat, NJ. The qualified candidate will supervise all aspects of the group home operations, (i.e. staff supervision, on-call, and spot checks)

Job Responsibilities of a group home Manager:

  • Supervise all aspects of the group home
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings and trainings
  • Conduct interviews and observations, provide feedback and complete employee evaluations
  • Share on-call responsibilities with group home Assistant Manager
  • Uphold agency and licensing regulations
  • Responsible for creating staff scheduling
  • Assist with scheduling doctor's appointments
  • Responsible for program and client finances
  • Assists and supervises in activities of daily living skills
  • Administer or assist with prescribed medication
  • Light housekeeping
  • Assist with transportation
  • Assist in the implementation of individual goals and objectives
  • Data entry using Therap (EHR)
  • Assist residents in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans

Job Requirements:

  • HS diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience as a supervisor and working with people with disabilities
  • A valid driver's license in good standing & must be insurable through NJID's automobile insurance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Position Details:
Location: Barnegat County: Ocean
Hours Per Work Week: 40 Weekly Work Schedule: Mon 12p-8p, Tue 10a-6p, Wed 12p-8p, Thurs 10a-6p and Fri 12p-8p
Other shifts available at this location.
NJID has full time, part time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
