POSITION: CRM COORDINATOR

LOCATION: ADMISSIONS

JOB SUMMARY: The CRM Coordinator at New Jersey City University (NJCU) will oversee the CRM system, Slate, to support enrollment and marketing strategies. This role involves managing CRM operations, customization, and development, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency. Reporting to the AVP of University Admissions, with a dotted line to the Assistant Director of CRM & Enrollment Systems, this position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively manage CRM-related projects and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and maintain the admissions Slate CRM system to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. This includes importing applications, datasets, forms, and queries.
  • Lead CRM customization and development, implementing new features and preparing the system for various operational cycles.
  • Remain current with new features or opportunities within the Slate CRM system to assist in reaching enrollment goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical staff, providing training and support for Slate CRM and other admissions-related technologies.
  • Ensure data integrity and security, managing user access, roles, and permissions, and developing and updating custom permissions for staff and faculty.
  • Offer first-level support for CRM-related concerns, troubleshooting functional, process, and system issues, and managing these to resolution.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure for reports, fields, and rules, validating queries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders and vendors to enhance CRM processing and operations, communicating urgent and/or complex CRM issues to relevant teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide day-to-day administration of CRM systems, monitoring and resolving daily errors and warning notifications.
  • Collaborate with key offices on implementing and using the Slate CRM system, serving as a functional lead and hands-on administrator.
  • Assist in development of communication plans for prospective students throughout the recruitment cycle, collaborating with admissions and marketing teams.
  • Maintain a commitment to diversity and inclusion in day-to-day interactions.
  • Represent the department at various campus and community events and/or meetings and committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Attend recruitment initiatives as deemed necessary.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Promote a positive impression by always demonstrating a collegial and professional customer-service approach.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

EDUCATION: bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of professional experience in higher education or related field, with a focus on marketing, recruiting, or admissions preferred. One (1) year of experience administering a CRM (Slate, Salesforce, Hubspot, Target X, Blackbaud, etc.). Experience may be substituted for education.
