New Horizons In Home Care - Eugene is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Eugene, OR

Job description

Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

We're Growing - Come Join Our Team

New Horizons, is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to provide support to our Finance Department in a variety of Accounting related functions.

We're looking for an organized, warm, collaborative team player with a service-oriented focus. Position requires a strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, a professional demeanor, the ability to multitask, function independently, and prioritize effectively in a growing healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and support semi-monthly payroll processing and related report reconciliation utilizing ADP software
  • Work closely with the HR team to address any supplemental payroll needs (new hires, terminations, LOA’s).
  • Resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
  • Process medical billing through state or to insurance, resolving conflicts with omissions and sensitive billing issues
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and reconciliation
  • Demonstrate support for the agency’s mission statement to promote quality, efficient, comprehensive, and effective processes and procedures
  • Meet scheduled processing and reporting deadlines
  • Comply with all agency policies, and procedures, State and Federal regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and employee records and agency operations
  • Ensure data integrity and file maintenance of client, caregiver and vendor accounts
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose, work towards, or develop solutions
  • Partner with accounting staff and related department personnel to achieve people-first accountability standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years Payroll experience with a demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of ADP
  • Intermediate Excel experience
  • Proven experience in payroll, garnishments and benefits distribution
  • Excellent research and data analysis skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles
  • Basic Knowledge in local, state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Detail-oriented with a high numerical aptitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
