POSITION: Behavior Specialist
SCHOOL: Districtwide
GENERAL DUTIES: The Behavior Specialist works with all members of the school team to design and direct behavior modification plans that will meet the needs of students and families. The specialist designs and oversees the implementation of functional behavior assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans, and discrete trial instruction. Additional responsibilities include providing professional development to the school-based team (i.e., teachers, teacher's aides, parent, family members) in their roles and responsibilities in implementing the behavior plan as well as participating in interagency service planning meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Current CT Comprehensive Special Education Certification preferred (CT 065, 165, or 265).
Previous experience conducting behavior assessments, and designing and implementing behavior modification plans and discrete trial instruction.
SALARY: $75,000 - $80,000
