Requirements :

The Security Installation & Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and service of Video Surveillance / Access Control systems, as well as assist in the installation of various low voltage systems such as fire alarm, AV, audio, paging, intercom, and nurse call.

The Security Installation & Service Technician is responsible for completing projects in the most efficient and effective manner.

All work must meet the highest quality standards set forth by the Company while assuring a professional and safe working environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES :

  • Responsible for reading and understanding the Systems Integration installation process.
  • Must understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Must respond to all customer service-related issues promptly.
  • Responsible for accurate service installation tickets, and inventory items.
  • Achieve working knowledge of Company software and work within software systems on a day-to-day basis.
  • Work in a safe, positive manner showing respect to others and contributing to the team.
  • Fully comply with Company and customer safety programs.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and dependability by following instructions and being an active listener.
  • Adapts well to changing circumstances or conditions in the field.
  • Pursues career development opportunities such as training and certification courses.
  • Always maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Keeps a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adheres to all NEW ERA policies regarding dress code, safety, attendance, etc.

COMPETENCIES :

  • Prior Video Surveillance / Access Control experience
  • Knowledge of PC and IP integration required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stoop, balance, stand, walk, sit and climb and / or work on a ladder and lift.

QUALIFICATIONS : To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • Associate Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting Video Surveillance / Access Control systems.
