New Era Staffing & HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to work with one of our food manufacturing clients in the Kent, WA, area.
Successful candidates will have previous Industrial Maintenance experience and display excellent mechanical & electrical troubleshooting skills.
Job Title: Maintenence Technician
Location: Kent, WA
Pay: $32.77 - $45.92/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 PM to 8 AM
Benefits: Paid Weekly, Paid Training, Paid Sick Leave, Affordable Healthcare Plan, Simple IRA (401K)

Maintenance Technician Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and processing machines and equipment to enhance the reliability of high-volume manufacturing production equipment and minimize reactive downtime.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 2 years of industrial maintenance technician experience is required
- Relevant trade or technical school training preferred
- 2 years of Allen-Bradley PLC experience preferred
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematic drawings, and PLC logic diagrams
- Collaborate with production personnel to identify causes of mechanical downtime
- Proven ability to perform essential preventative maintenance and repairs of industrial production equipment
- High level of demonstrated industrial mechanical & electrical troubleshooting ability
- Display an understanding of AC and DC motors, VFD drives, and the ability to safely troubleshoot circuits of varying voltage (110/120V, 220V, 480V)
- Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide meaningful feedback
- Must have efficient work planning and time management organizational skills
- Able to climb ladders and lift/push/pull using proper techniques up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 200 pounds occasionally
- Follow specific maintenance procedures concerning PM's, schedules, and documentation requirements.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and elevated heights (up to 60 feet) safely
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
