New Era Security Services is Hiring a Security Officer - Armed Near New York, NY
- Shifts, days and times vary as needed.
- Some are last minute pop ups others are planned monthly.
- Perm locations are officered as they become available.
- Pay is $35 and at times can range up to $45 depending on location and event needs.
As an Armed Security Officer, you may work in a variety of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Residential, Construction, Religious Organizations, Government buildings, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service.
- Follow and enforce company post orders and site-specific post orders.
- Follow and enforce emergency response post orders.
- Respond to incidents.
- Perform foot patrol tours both interior and exterior.
- Stand for period of time.
- Work in rain, snow, or other weather related conditions.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed positions.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have armed security experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants who are not active or retired law enforcement officers, or civil service equivalents, may be subject to a background investigation.
- As a condition of employment, applicants may be subject to a drug test based on the client site or contract.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws. In New York state, a valid, non expired, New York state armed security guard license containing a verifiable UID is required prior to employment. Retired Law Enforcement Officers are required to possess a valid New York State armed security license with or without the 10 year waiver for training. *New Era Security Services can assist retired law enforcement Officers in obtaining any lacking credentials. Active Law enforcement or civil service equivalents do not need to be licensed.
- *A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only and be subject to a motor vehicle report check with state DMV.
