New England Center for Children Inc is Hiring an Advancement Services Specialist Near Southborough, MA

The Advancement Services Specialist works in the Development and Communications Department and is responsible for gift processing, receipting, producing acknowledgement letters, reports, prospect research, mailings, and stewardship initiatives.

Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week (remote optional on Fridays)

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Record donations in the database with high degree of accuracy.
  • Execute data and gift-entry processes efficiently.
  • Update donor records as needed.
  • Produce targeted mailing lists for communications, solicitations, invitations, etc.
  • Extract information from Raisers Edge database to meet reporting and research needs of frontline staff; produce donor activity reports.
  • Search for former staff. Investigate financial/biographical status of individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Ensure information regarding special event sponsorships, in-kind donations, and ticket sales/registrations are recorded in constituent’s record in a timely fashion.
  • Develop donor prospect lists for cultivation and solicitation.
  • Interface with Business Office when needed regarding gift entry, gift posting, gift restrictions and audit reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 – 4 years of experience in Fundraising; database
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office (Word, and Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and/or projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized, with good interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use good judgment in dealing with confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • Experience with online giving (Classy, Omatics) preferred.
