New Energy Equity is Hiring a Director of Asset Management Near Annapolis, MD

The Director of Asset Management reports directly to the General Manager of ESS. The position is responsible for overseeing and managing ESS’ Asset Management line of business. Duties will include supervising Asset management staff, driving Asset performance, communicating with external/internal stakeholders, and delivering excellent service to asset management clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive financial and operational performance of Assets under management.
  • Operate as Owner’s representative in navigating contractual and business matters, driving Asset ROI and mitigating risks.
  • Act as primary point of contact with clients, maintaining and strengthening business partnerships
  • Oversee and manage key contract and regulatory deliverables for asset management clients.
  • Represent Owner’s interest in overseeing Asset Management Entity contractual obligations including, but not limited to:
    • O&M and EPC contracts
    • PPA, CSG, or ESA contracts
    • Land leases, Interconnection agreements, and Subscription aggregators.
  • Supervise and lead Asset Management department with a focus on improving customer service and financial ROI of client assets.
  • Oversight of Asset management accounting and financials.
  • Lead Stakeholder meetings to grow ESS’ Asset Management line of business.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Must have 4 years of demonstrated experience in Asset Management finance or accounting. Solar or related field highly preferred.
  • Must possess strong finance skills, including budget development, ongoing project cost monitoring and large contract management.
  • Must have a general understanding of Power Purchase Agreements, Interconnect agreements, PPA settlement, and LLCAs
  • Must have worked in a corporate environment and possess a customer centric attitude with the ability to collaborate, communicate and interact with various management levels within the organization
  • Must understand renewable financial models and the full capital stack (tax equity, debt, and cash equity)

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to professionally interface with Clients and other Stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A strong grasp of technical solar project details; ability to effectively collaborate with operational and technical teams
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Salesforce.
  • Experience in Solar customer management, support, or business development preferred.
  • You are adaptable and open to learning new concepts and skills
  • Strong organizational skills
