Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Surgery Scheduler to join our team. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for our patients. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical office environment. Duties:
- Schedule surgical procedures for patients, ensuring efficient use of operating room time
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to schedule surgeries and necessary pre-operative appointments
- Obtain necessary authorizations and insurance verifications for surgical procedures
- Communicate with patients regarding their surgery dates, pre-operative instructions, and any necessary paperwork
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with the coding department to ensure accurate coding and billing for surgical procedures
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Skills:
- Previous experience in surgery scheduling or medical administrative support is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to surgical procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced medical office environment
