In this self-motivated and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, performing benefit investigations, and obtaining prior authorizations for both new and existing patients in a timely manner while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with intake to confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
• Contact insurance companies, as needed, to verify patient coverage
• Obtain authorization for procedures and services, as required
• Communicate with providers, office staff, and patients to obtain necessary information
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• One or two years of experience in the medical field
• One or two years of medical terminology
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication and telephone skills
• Knowledge of medical insurance/authorization process
