Purpose of Position
The purpose of the Quality Control Parts Specialist will be primarily to ensure that the record keeping and reporting requirements of 14 CFR 135.
This team member will audit RTS and act as a formal resource for multiple departments to actively identify and mitigate part tracking issues in order to support the goal of leading our industry in safety and compliance practices and standards.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Audit all regulatory part transactions in the electronic maintenance tracking system and maintain reports that facilitate the audit process.
Ensure that time tracked parts are tracking correctly according to the proper documentation and the approved maintenance programs.
Provide specialized technical guidance to those entering information into our tracking system through formal training sessions and direct instruction emails.
Review maintenance work records for off-wing engine maintenance. Ensure that maintenance records / log entries meet 14 CFR 135 and General Maintenance Manual requirements.
Ensure that inspections, ADs, SBs and time-tracked parts are accurately entered into the electronic maintenance tracking system and the system is tracking items correctly.
Review and approve parts created in the maintenance tracking system by RTS and MCC to ensure that part eligibility, applicability, and interchangeability are set up correctly.
Coordinate with the Configuration department to identify and solve complex tracking issues and distribute a process solution to improve group efficiency.
Perform audit of all regulatory parts installed on new Conformity Aircraft. Audit new or revised Maintenix programs to ensure Netjets parts tracking system mirrors chapter 4 and chapter 5 limits.
Work with IFS to ensure functionality of all Maintenix revisions and patches before going "live".
Has specialized technical expertise in the purpose and performance of Maintenix and acts as a lead for all departments concerning part installation, removal, usage and life limit.
Identifies common part tracking hazards and provides official guidance to proactively reduce errors. Collaborates with the Maintenance Projects & Processes Manager to review and fine tune the Maintenance Operational Processes.
