About the opportunity: 

NetDocuments is seeking a Platform Engineer to help revolutionizethe cloud-based delivery.

As our platform expands, you will collaborate with architects to design and develop our Internal Developer Platform. This role requires proficiency in Java. We aim to treat all our automation as first-class software, capable of independent compilation and testing. 

The ideal candidate will be able to go beyond traditional operational scripts, and who can develop exceptional software solutions to elevate our operations. 

What your contributions will be: 

• Develop automation solutions in Java and some Go to enable development teams to efficiently transition to the cloud
• Strong security focus with knowledge of industry best practices such as container scanning, source code scanning, etc.
• Solid implementation background in AWS or Azure PaaS services, such as Lambda, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, Route 53, and Application Load Balancers
• Familiarity with AWS Networking fundamentals, including VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Internet Gateway, and Security Groups
• Experience with observability tools like APM and Log Analysis
• Other duties as assigned

What you will need for success: 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent on-the-job experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer with cloud experience or a Platform Engineer, working with the required technological stack mentioned above
• Experience writing technical documentation that effectively documents processes and patterns using appropriate phrasing, diagrams, and logical tools
• Experience mentor engineering team members in DevOps best practices

Ideally you will have: 

• Software Engineering in Java
• AWS
• Terraform
• Docker
• Kubernetes (EKS and ECS)
• DevOps Tools (CircleCi, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Harness, etc.)
• Git
• Security Tools (SCA, DAST, SAST, Container Scanning)
• Agile Development Methodologies
