Job Summary: A Project Manager can manage multiple projects through the Job Duties and Responsibilities listed below. Project Managers work with Field Superintendent, Foreman, and Lead Technicians to manage their project manpower and material needs by analyzing blueprints and schematics to connect the cables safely and accurately.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Must maintain the 6 principles of a PM:
Plan the work, work the plan
Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment for the site.
Set goals for the project regardingefficiencies and production per scope.
Stay on time/under budget on the project.
Keep the client in the loop of project status.
Manage risk.
Manage the start, middle, and end of the job and make sure the job is up to standards.
Run projects with LEAN Construction ideology.
Utilize computer skills to work on internal applications pertained to each job.
Conduct pre-walk and safety walks with internal safety personnel.
Create and monitor Task Tracker for projects
Create manpower forecast for all current projects.
Maintain and provide updates on monthly WIP reports.
Create project RFI’s.
Create project Change Orders.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Plan out project manpower workload with the schedule.
Assist Safety/QAQC Supervisor with daily project/employee issues & training needs.
Learn and adhere to all required safety standards.
Provide transportation to and from work sites.
Ensure compliance with all Department Standards, Policies & Procedures.
Properly explain the importance of safety and professionalism toward optimal job performance.
Discuss and develop pathways, spaces, bonding, and grounding, and firestopping with Project Lead/Foreman
