To support our store operations and ensure efficiency behind the scenes, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to transition to full-time based on performance. A key aspect of this role will involve creating structure within our warehouse operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Our operations are streamlined through Shopify, serving as our main Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.

Position: Warehouse Supervisor (Part-Time with opportunity for Full-Time)

Location: Virginia Beach, Near Lynnhaven Mall

Type: Part-Time (Opportunity for Full-Time upon performance)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement structured warehouse processes and procedures, aligning with best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Achieve warehouse operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends.
• Guide and develop warehouse staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage systems, specifically using Shopify as our WMS software.
• Maintain physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Ensure secure and efficient operation of the warehouse by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimize operational processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role, with a strong emphasis on creating and implementing structured processes.
• Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency, with specific experience in Shopify or similar WMS platforms.
• Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management tools and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• High school diploma; BSc/BA in logistics, supply chain management or a related field is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.81 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 29 per week
