Sr. Software Engineer
SummaryThis engineer has significant experience in the automation, robotics, or IOT sector where they have facilitated communication between IOT, field, and edge devices with a PC, server, or the cloud. They can acquire large amounts of data and organize them in data structures and also analyze that data to make decisions automatically. Integration of PLCs with server-side equipment or the web is a must. Experience with robotic vision systems is a big plus.
Requirements
Note: Direct robotics or automation experience is a must have.
* BS in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or similar (MS Preferred)
* Minimum of 7 years applicable professional experience in the robotics or automation industry
* Minimum of 7 years professional software development experience
Skills:
* Full-stack design experience a must.
* Ability to create and maintain data structures for storing and analyzing large datasets from hardware sensors (e.g. accelerometers, encoders, load cells, vision).
* Experience integrating edge/field equipment (including PLCs) with server-side equipment and web interface.
* Development of cloud/server-to-industrial edge IOT applications.
* Experience programming robot vision systems.
* Python, Labview, MATLAB preferred.
