Production Supervisor- Night Shift Progressive Stamping
Talan Products looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who has previous experience with
progressive stamping
and who will be responsible for leading a manufacturing team of operators.
Location: Cleveland Ohio- 100% onsite.
Hourly Rate: $28-$32.00- Based on Experience. Overtime weekly (50-55hrs) and 6-10% yearly bonus. Totally yearly salary will be 70-90k Bonus.

About the Role:
The Production Supervisor role is a critical part of a great team of leaders at Talan. The production team has an energetic mix of tenured, loyal, talented people, as well as emerging talent that has been brought on more recently as we continue to grow the team to meet our customers high demand. The right candidate for this role will bring a passion for developing the members of their team, as we have a number of dedicated, eager learners that have strong growth potential. The night shift supervisor role will come with a level of independence and autonomy and with it an opportunity to be an advocate for the night shift team. The management team is focused on supporting the night shift crew, responding to requests help and support, and helping the supervisor develop a strong team dynamic on night shift that is well aligned with Talans already-strong culture.
The historical core of the work at Talan has been in metal stamping and aluminum extrusions, with a fast-growing element of automation and post-processing. The right candidate will be able to leverage past experience in progressive die stamping to drive productivity, and quality.
The day-to-day production leadership of the night shift will be a foundational part of the role. Collaboration with the day shift team and the scheduler on what is to run on the night shift, maintenance on issues and proactive improvements, as well as HR/recruiting on staffing is key. On the current night shift team, there is a lead person that is an emerging supervisor candidate; this person will be a great asset to the new supervisor, and part of the supervisor role will be to work with this person and continue to develop their technical and leadership skills. The ideal candidate would have a love for running an effective shop on a daily/weekly basis, with a desire to be a part of suggesting and making improvements to the overall production processes and the company.
Key skills and qualifications
Leadership and coordination of a diverse front-line team
Communication and collaboration with peer leaders and other departments
Metal stamping experience highly preferred. We have a strong, core group of team members with expertise, and will look to add to our technical capacity with this hire.
Training and development of direct reports on both technical and soft-skills
Lean manufacturing training and (more importantly) successful implementation track-record is a plus
Computer systems familiarity (Outlook, Excel, ERP systems, etc.) to be able to efficiently and productively manage work tasks
