Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Materials Manager to oversee our company's supply chain and inventory control processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing contracts, procurement, production planning, supplier relationships, and overall materials management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize materials management procedures
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Oversee inventory control processes to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
- Manage contracts with vendors and negotiate terms for procurement
- Collaborate with production teams to plan material requirements for manufacturing processes
- Utilize Oracle EBS or similar systems for efficient supply chain management
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to maintain high-quality standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- Proven experience in materials management, procurement, and supplier management
- Strong knowledge of production planning and inventory control practices
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems is preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and lead a team towards common goals
