The Granite YMCA is seeking an experienced marketing professional to join our dynamic, impactful and purposeful team.

Job Description

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Vice President of Marketing and Communications maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all, and provides a quality experience to our community. As a leader in the Y, this position utilizes the organization’s current strategic plan to develop, implement, and maintain marketing and communication strategies and initiatives to drive our organization forward in alignment with our mission and consistent with our values.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic marketing plans and a proven track record of accomplishment
  • Must have a track record of success working cross functionally to identify and forecast trends and develop strategies and programs that drive program sales
  • Exceptional strategic thinking capabilities, combined with the ability to execute at a tactical level, when necessary
  • Project management skills and prior experience managing campaign execution from planning through to implementation, measurement and analysis
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff and working in teams
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of marketing experience at a director leadership level
  • Commitment to and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy in alignment with The Granite YMCA’s strategic plan and CEO Vision.
  • Expand market research to analyze consumer behavior to inform marketing and communication strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, community partners.
  • Build awareness with breakthrough communication that elevates the brand and supports the key brand attributes.
  • Assist in meeting and exceeding monthly and annual membership and program sales through effective marketing and public relations.
  • Coordinate marketing resources across all areas within the department to ensure seamless integration of both long-term, seasonal campaigns and short-term tactical efforts and membership campaigns.
  • Drive positive branch results with clear inclusive messaging, compelling membership and program communications and promotions that create urgency.
  • Develop and prepare key messaging and presentation material for senior management to include crisis plan as needed.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Philanthropy department to advance philanthropic goals and outcomes.
  • Create and maintain a marketing and communication calendar for the association.
  • Ensure organizational adherence to branding requirements across the association.
  • Develop and maintain tracking and metrics to determine the success of marketing programs, promotions and activities.
  • Provide strong leadership for the association's marketing budget ensuring proper planning, management, controls, analysis and measurement.
  • Review and establish appropriate marketing data collection and reporting protocols to ensure accuracy and impact on association campaigns and services.
  • Lead and develop a team of marketing and communication professionals.
  • Supervise team to produce excellent program and membership collateral and promotional materials that effectively promote programs and membership, in accordance with marketing plans.
