NeoGenomics is looking for a Case Management Specialist based out of our lab in Aliso Viejo, CA who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. Position Summary: Case management specialists are tasked with managing laboratory worklists to ensure proper TAT is achieved and if not that communication regarding the delay (repeat, QNS, TNP or any other reason) is documented and relayed to the appropriate area to include both internal and external customers. Accountable for ensuring triage of worklist and "special" patient cases and following through to ensure proper / timely report out. They work with a variety of co-workers and must also be able to adapt to new technologies that are relevant to their work. Must provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. Core Responsibilities:
Manage assigned lab department worklist to ensure timely TAT
Knowledge of all labs worklist to ensure proper coverage
Use all proper software / programs
Execute on proper escalation of delays or problems post triage of worklist
Communicate with excellent customer service
May maintain and manage key or special accounts
May assist in providing service to sales organization
May provide evening or weekend afterhours on-call coverage as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional training in medical terminology and/or laboratory operations preferred
Two (2) or more years of experience in laboratory operations is preferred
Excellent typing and data entry skills
Proficient with MS Office programs and database management
Strong knowledge of lab processes and testing
Highly focused on service orientation
Ability to adapt to changing procedures, policies, and work environment
Ability to communicate effectively
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow up skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Must be willing to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards
Ability to handle stressful situations and demonstrate a potential for strong problem solving skills
Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in Safety Manual
