Nelson Numeric is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Bloomington, MN

Are you in search of a career in a smaller company where you can stretch and grow? Nelson Numeric is looking for a Second Shift QA Inspector.

We offer a state of the art, climate-controlled facility - 60,000 sq. ft. and a clean environment.

Nelson Numeric operates under strict quality guidelines adhering to our AS9100, ISO9001 and ITAR Certifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect/ Audit Product using all variable or attribute measuring equipment and record results to ensure conformance with aerospace customer regulations
  • Read/ Interpret, and understand GD& T
  • Ability to use a variety of gages such as micrometers, height gauges, Calipers, Bore Gauges, and other equipment
  • Responsible for First Part Buy Off, Receiving, In Process, First and Final Article inspections
  • Operator and Analyze the CMM Reports to determine parts acceptance
  • Quality Inspector will be responsible for communicating information as needed
  • Complete work orders using the internal ERP system

Required Qualifications and Education

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Fast Paced
  • Ability to apply skilled mechanical inspection methods (caliper, micrometer, CMM, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to interact with employees and outside vendors and suppliers.
  • Experience in AS9100 Aerospace environment required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
