Financial Specialist

If you have an AA, two or more years of experience working in Human Services or Customer Relations, and have a passion for helping people, apply today!

Location: Bend, OR

Compensation: $22.00/hour (Plus $0.50/hour for Spanish Bilingual ability)

Hours: Regular full-time (32-40 hours/week, Monday-Friday)

Benefits: 100% premium paid Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Agency paid Retirement plan (up to 6%), almost 16 weeks of paid vacation time total accrual during the first five years (increases after that), plus 14 paid Holidays annually and a separate sick leave accrual

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for one-on-one client service delivery with emphasis on moving individuals towards financial stability and wellbeing. This position helps clients develop financial skills, such as savings, budgeting and credit, and works with clients in various asset-building programs. The position also requires teaching small group workshops. This position has opportunities of advancements to a HomeSource Specialist II once HUD, and other certifications have been obtained and when the individual has the capacity to efficiently maintain an increased caseload.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • COVID-19 vaccine required prior to hire
  • AA/AS degree required
  • Two years of work experience, prior or post college, required
  • Ability to pass acceptable credit check post-offer, pre-employment required
  • Two or more years’ experience working in Human Services or Customer Relations required
  • Two or more years’ experience working in banking, accounting, insurance or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in coaching, counseling or adult education preferred
  • Experience with Internet applications, Microsoft Office applications required
  • Demonstrated data entry ability via test administered post-interview
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Required prior to date of hire and thought employment
  • o Satisfactory criminal background check
  • o Reliable internet access at home for the work from home portion of this position and auditory privacy in that space
  • o Valid driver’s license
  • o Proof of current auto insurance
  • o Reliable transportation
