Job Summary:The main responsibilities for the Project Procurement Specialist is to manage the company's purchasing activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring that purchases are made in a cost-effective and timely manner. The procurement specialist will collaborate with different departments and suppliers to ensure that they meet the company's needs. Main Tasks & Responsibilities Manage end-to-end Purchase Order processes utilizing ERP system, overseeing from initial approval to final payment. This includes researching and vetting potential suppliers, conducting evaluations, and negotiating contracts. Collaborate with diverse departments within the organization to comprehend their purchasing requirements and ensure seamless fulfillment.Monitor and maintain relationships with current suppliers, while also tracking and evaluating their performance. Ensure purchased goods and services meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. Enforce adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and our company's Code of Conduct among suppliers.Continuously refine the procurement process to enhance efficiency and efficacy. Stay abreast of market trends and industry advancements to make informed purchasing decisions.Provide support in processing supplier invoices and statements as necessary. Contribute to monthly accruals, subsidiary chargebacks, and other financial reporting tasks. QualificationsYour Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or similar degree.4 plus years of relevant experience, preferably in procurement or supply chain management. Your skills and traits.Advanced verbal and written communication skills.Advanced customer service skills including conflict management and opportunity development/consulting.Ability to work overtime and on weekends if necessary.Ability to prioritize projects and tasks.Operating knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other basic computer usage.Worked within an ERP system to process and track orders, such as IFS10, Nexus, or SAP.Knowledgeable in regulatory, safety and environmental requirements.
