Position SummaryThe primary job function of this position is any and all aspects of welding with a secondary function of minor maintenance and repair on fleet vehicles and equipment. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Weld, in any aspect, with various welding equipment provided in the fleet garage, including using an oxy-acetylene outfit for cutting purposes.

Design, fabricate, and repair a variety of metal work.

Perform minor repair and maintenance on fleet vehicles.

Performs all work in accordance with schedules, policies, procedures and standards of quality and safety.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED; and
• 2 years experience in welding with working knowledge of the use and care of arc welding equipment, acetylene torches, grinders, and other tools of the welding trade; or
• an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Certificates, Licenses

• Valid Driver’s License

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to operate with minimal supervision.
• Must be flexible regarding work schedule.
